Integrative Psychotherapist & Relationship Counselor @ Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy
Are you ready to navigate the challenges of being human with greater resilience? As an integrative psychotherapist and relationship counselor, I specialize in supporting adults, couples, and groups to heal relationships on all levels. Including their relationships with stress, chronic illness/pain, family of origin issues, and trauma.
Combining research-informed practices with revolutionary brain + relationship science, I work from an integrative “head + heart” approach that incorporates mind, body, and spirit to help you increase resilience, release emotional baggage, and ignite holistic healing. Hence, the name of my practice – Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy. I believe that only by working from a holistic perspective can we truly experience deep healing and lasting change.
My practice of psychotherapy and counseling integrates relationship science (Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy), neuroscience (Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Somatic therapy, EMDR therapy, depth psychology and parts work, and trauma-informed interventions.
I am now accepting new clients for secure online therapy for Texas residents and offer free 15 min phone consults. You can learn more about me and my practice at www.headandheart-therapy.com

I am a Functional Medicine Nutritionist who combines the science and philosophies of functional and eastern medicine to get to the root of client health complaints. Issues of healthy weight, autoimmunity, dysregulated mental health, and chronic pain are all symptoms of much deeper issues needing to be addressed by lifestyle changes and healthy habit implementation.
My typical clients are stressed out (work, family, etc.), under/overeating, under/over-sleeping, dealing with chronic health issues (i.e. autoimmunity, diabetes, anxiety/depression, infections, etc.) and/or are experiencing chronic pain. In working with me, everything starts with your diet because food is medicine! This means discussing which foods may be helping, which foods may be harming, and finding the best course of action, all while implementing a mindful approach.
Together, you and I will investigate all aspects of a your life: diet, health history, major stressors, movement, etc. and create a plan to reach goals we will set together. My aim, as the practitioner, is to provide the information and instruction to implement the changes necessary to build healthier habits. However, I firmly believe you should be in the driver’s seat. You decide how fast or slow and what works or does not work for your lifestyle. This work is ALL ABOUT YOU!

I have been a practicing LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) in Austin for 23 years. I have worked in a number of wonderful Austin establishments, from Chiropractors, to 5 Star Resort & Spas, and 2 years at the University of Texas Football Program!
After having suffered very serious illness myself, that ultimately led to a Liver Transplant in November of 2015, I have come alive again. I have a new mission in my professional life, and that is to transform my Massage Career into truly helping others (and “paying it forward”), by obtaining the certifications required for Medical Massage, Oncology Massage & Lymphatic Drainage.
My training began in the Fall of 2016 for Oncology Massage: Caring for Patients with Cancer, and then moved ahead into the training for ‘Manual Lymphatic Drainage’ & ‘Certified Lymphedema Therapy’ ~ earning certifications in all.
These experiences have led me to what is now my “Passion Project” ~ working with a variety of people in all walks of life. I am now working with patients In all stages of cancer treatment & survivorship, also those suffering from lymphedema.
I have worked directly in infusion rooms, both at Texas Oncology and Austin Cancer Center, as well as Breast Cancer Resource Center.
Who can benefit from Medical Massage & Lymphatic Drainage?
- Pre- & post operative surgery
- Reduce post surgical swelling and pain
- Oncology patients – before, during & after treatment
- Cancer related lymphedema
- Boost the body’s ability to detoxify
- Headaches/migraines
- Sports injuries
- Soft tissue strains or injury
- Chronic pain (back/shoulder/neck)
- Decrease blood pressure
- Increase range of motion
- Digestive Disorders
- Satisfaction in participating actively in a part of the healing process.
- Decrease anxiety
Receiving a lymphatic massage can do you a world of good. And getting massage frequently can achieve even more. Taking part in this form of regularly scheduled self-care can play a huge part in how healthy you will be through the years. Budgeting time and money for bodywork at consistent intervals is truly an investment in your health. And remember: just because massage feels like a pampering treat, does not mean that it is any less therapeutic. Consider making lymphatic massage appointments a necessary piece of your health and wellness plan, and establish a treatment schedule that best meets your needs.
Lymphatic massage is a light, rhythmic, manual therapy that uses a specific stretch-and-release skin technique. Clients become very relaxed during their treatments, feeling a sense of calm and relaxation that normally occurs with other types of massage – even when very tender from current surgical procedures.
My private practice now includes Office Hours at Cancer Rehab and Integrative Medicine (CRIM) in Central Austin.
