Integrative Psychotherapist & Relationship Counselor @ Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy
Are you ready to navigate the challenges of being human with greater resilience? As an integrative psychotherapist and relationship counselor, I specialize in supporting adults, couples, and groups to heal relationships on all levels. Including their relationships with stress, chronic illness/pain, family of origin issues, and trauma.
Combining research-informed practices with revolutionary brain + relationship science, I work from an integrative “head + heart” approach that incorporates mind, body, and spirit to help you increase resilience, release emotional baggage, and ignite holistic healing. Hence, the name of my practice – Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy. I believe that only by working from a holistic perspective can we truly experience deep healing and lasting change.
My practice of psychotherapy and counseling integrates relationship science (Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy), neuroscience (Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Somatic therapy, EMDR therapy, depth psychology and parts work, and trauma-informed interventions.
I am now accepting new clients for secure online therapy for Texas residents and offer free 15 min phone consults. You can learn more about me and my practice at www.headandheart-therapy.com

I am a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor, perpetually curious about your stories and perspectives. I don’t operate with a “one size-fits all” or “cookie-cutter” approach to therapy. I’ll meet you where you are, without judgement or agenda.
As your compassionate and empathetic ally, we will explore your emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations to help you gain deeper self-awareness and insight into the relationship with yourself and others.
This work can lead to greater life balance, an ability to hold stronger boundaries, and a deeper sense of worth and lovability.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, body positive, trauma sensitive, culturally sensitive (related to race, ethnicity, regional identity, religion, etc.) sex-positive, and mindful of neurodivergencies and abilities.

Jennifer Paap, MA, LPC
Counselor / Psychotherapist @ Jennifer Paap Counseling.
My practice of psychotherapy is person-centered, attachment-based, and trauma-informed. I focus on utilizing the power of neurobiology and relationship for healing. As a Heart-Centered counselor, I orient to “the work” through compassion, curiosity, and acceptance.
Counselor / Psychotherapist
I specialize in helping individuals with life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, personal and spiritual growth.
As a Heart-Centered psychotherapist, I view each individual’s journey through a lens of compassion, curiosity, and acceptance.
I love helping people cultivate a deeper, kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves and helping to shift conditioning and beliefs around this being “overindulgent” and/or “selfish.”
Using an Integrative Approach, I make room for all parts of our humanness, physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. I work from an attachment-based, and trauma-informed foundation and draw on several therapeutic methods to assist with building tools and resources that are supportive, insight-oriented and focused on creating deep, lasting change. Primary therapeutic methods I draw from are:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Inner child/reparenting work
- Internal Parts work
- Neurobiology
- Mindfulness practices
- Somatic awareness
- Depth oriented therapy
- Existential inquiry
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
I consider each person’s unique life experiences, worldview and nervous system while exploring and connecting with the resilience, gifts, and truth that lie within their own body and brain. The choice to seek psychotherapy can be a journey in and of itself – it takes courage and strength to ask for support. I’m continuously awed and inspired by my client’s courage, vulnerability, and resilience. Embarking on the journey to be seen, look within, let go of the past, heal and grow, with time, opens more space within our bodies and minds to connect with our true selves and experiences of connectedness, joy, peace, clarity, ease and well being.
I work with clients throughout the state of TX and currently offer in-person and virtual sessions. You can learn more about me and my practice at JenniferPaap.com

Licensed Professional Counselor
I use depth-oriented and experiential modalities to get to the root cause of issues and facilitate change, including Existential Therapy, Relational Therapy, Mindfulness and Parts Work. I view people as a whole, recognizing the connection of mind, body, emotions and soul. The goals are to increase insight and integration of parts of yourself you may avoid or be unaware of, so that you can transform your challenges into wisdom and live a more authentic life. We’ll look at life history and habits, including how your patterns show up in your relationship with me.

Counseling, the way I see it, is a process of self-discovery and exploration which requires an open mind, patience and collaboration between the counselor and client.
