Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I have worked for grassroots nonprofits such as San Francisco Suicide Prevention, Zen Caregiving Project, and Maitri Compassionate Care, and remain forever inspired by community medicine. I particularly love working with anyone who has not felt seen or heard by modern allopathic medicine for any reason, but particularly due to stigmatized health concerns. In my spare time, I love connecting joyfully to my own body and spirit, especially through karaoke, dance, and socializing with friends.

Acupuncturist @ Five Element Acupuncture
Beverly is from Dallas and as a teenager was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis after losing hair, gaining weight, and experiencing extreme fatigue. While attending St. Edward’s University she was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Specialists told her it was a condition she would need to manage for life. Her college years were defined by gastroenterologists, nutritionists, allergists, new drugs, supplements, multiple hospital visits, and extreme diets. Unfortunately, it was a continual search of help with no alleviation of symptoms.
Post graduation, a doctor referred Beverly to an acupuncturist, which offered some relief. However, she was still limited due to her symptoms. It was not until she discovered Five Element Acupuncture that she really felt like herself again. After seven long years of searching, she saw real progress. She could eat foods that were once off limits and live a care free life. A hostage no more to her symptoms, she knew she had to continue her education to learn Five Element Acupuncture.
How is Five Element Acupuncture different?
Classical Five Element Acupuncture is set apart from other systems of acupuncture by its core premise of diagnosing and treating a patient’s fundamental imbalance, rather than symptoms.
Five Element Acupuncture believes that one’s emotional state and stress level is especially important to understand and treat in order to ensure health. While it treats all conditions with exceptional success, it uniquely treats anxiety, depression, stress, and insomnia.
Five Element has changed my life and I sincerely hope to help as many people as I can; please feel free to reach out with questions. I am ecstatic to be part of a group like this.

& Founder @ Flourish! Mindful Psychotherapy & Nutrition
For me, the best part of being a therapist is watching clients develop a sense of ease and blossom into their most authentic and beautiful selves. I do my best to create a judgment-free space so everyone feels comfortable, heard and safe to explore memories, experiences, thoughts, stressors, and/or behaviors.

I hold a BSW and MSSW from the University of Texas at Austin and certifications as a Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider and Kundalini Yoga Teacher. I find mindfulness, interpersonal neurobiology (IPBNB), PolyVagal and Attachment theories, somatic experiencing, functional nutrition and integrative medicine endlessly fascinating and am happy to share any or all of these models and tools with you to help you feel healed and nourished. The common thread connecting all I do is the vagus nerve and I do my best to stay on the cutting edge of science and treatment for this all important multi-branched nerve that serves as the information superhighway of the Gut-Brain Axis.
I am a board approved LCSW Supervisor in Texas and also an LCSW in Colorado.
When I am not working or learning I love to cook, take long walks with my pups, hang at the beach, indulge in comedy that makes me laugh so much my cheeks hurt and practice meditation and Kundalini yoga nearly everyday.
Flourish! is open for video and phone services during COVID-19 pandemic for established and new clients.
