MA, LMFT-A – Integrative Psychotherapist + Relationship Counselor
@ Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy
Integrative psychotherapy for teens, adults, and couples navigating stress, chronic illness, trauma, and relationship challenges. Also a Lyme Disease literate mental health professional.
While I have a Masters in Counseling, I like to joke that life granted me an honorary doctorate in resilience. You see, I have been humbled by life quite a bit as I have navigated many challenges which deepened my sense of empathy and compassion. For in my life I have been through major stress, illness, trauma, and loss myself. I understand how the complexity of stress and circumstance can influence our relationship with our self and others. And in a way, my experiences have given me a gift, for I can deeply connect and relate to others’ experiences.
I specialize in supporting teens, adults, and couples to heal relationships on all levels. Including their relationships with stress, chronic illness/pain, and trauma. Combining research informed practices with revolutionary brain + relationship science, I work from an integrative “head + heart” approach that incorporates mind, body, and spirit to help you increase resilience, release emotional baggage, and ignite holistic healing. Hence, the name of my practice – Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy. For I believe that only by working from a holistic perspective can we truly experience deep healing and lasting change.
I am a passionate Lyme Literate Mental Health Professional who advocates for and serves those navigating this often invisible illness. As a survivor of Late Stage Lyme Disease, I strive to do my part to make the invisible more visible by educating the community on the unique psychological symptoms of this often misunderstood disease.
My practice of psychotherapy and counseling is research informed and integrates relationship science (Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy), Interpersonal Neurobiology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Somatic therapy, EMDR therapy, depth psychology and parts work, and trauma-informed interventions.
I am now accepting new clients and offer free 15 min phone consults. My practice is located in North Central Austin near Koenig Lane (2222) and Burnet Road, and also I offer secure online therapy to Texas residents. You can learn more about me and my practice at www.headandheart-therapy.com
