Katherine Winge is a mother, lover of water, longtime student/practitioner of meditation and yoga. She is a certified yoga therapist, Aqua Kriya Yoga specialist, Aqua Kriya Yoga teacher trainer, meditation teacher and Mindful Self-Compassion trained teacher.
Katherine has been passionate about sharing the benefits of practicing aqua yoga since 2011. Aqua yoga helped Katherine recover from back surgery and during pregnancy, aqua yoga decreased her back pain and nausea.
Inspired by the work of Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Chris Germer, Katherine became Mindful Self-Compassion Trained Teacher in 2017. She is an enthusiastic practitioner of Mindful Self-Compassion and is honored to facilitate classes so that others may strengthen their “self-compassion muscles” too.
Katherine’s approach to teaching is infused with curiosity, creativity, kindness, humor, and compassion. Her warmth and positivity creates a space of inclusiveness for a wide range of students to explore the inner landscape of their heart/body/mind/spirit.
