Veronica Pike & Joanna Meley
Veronica Pike, APRN, FNP:
Veronica sees her role as a guide and advocate, listening attentively to her patients’ health concerns and conveying information in a clear, approachable manner. She values preventive medicine and thrives on finding the root cause of her patient’s problems. She has experience in treating all ages and stages of life, and is especially interested in treating autoimmune conditions, as well as providing prenatal and postnatal care and counseling patients in health optimization. She stays fit and active with Crossfit, and chasing after her 3 children–Bishop, Vaughn, and Deacon with her husband Tucker.
Veronica received her bachelor’s and master’s of science in nursing from Texas Tech University. She also holds a bachelor’s in biochemistry from Samford University, where she played Division I basketball. She is certified in family medicine through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Veronica was recently awarded the 2019 Austin Advanced Practice Nurse Excellence Award.
Joanna Meley, APRN, FNP:
Joanna has dedicated her career to providing convenient, holistic healthcare to patients of all ages, helping them achieve their goals and optimal health while preventing illness. A registered nurse since 2002, Joanna’s nursing experience focused primarily in specialty areas caring for Pediatric patients. She came to Austin in 2009 after she received her Masters in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Joanna has worked in many healthcare settings as a Family Nurse Practitioner, including community health working with the medically underserved, covering urgent care clinics, making home visits for acute illnesses, and in a retail clinic providing convenient care locally. She joined Veronica Pike, FNP in 2016 working with Med2You, and was thrilled to continue working with her to establish UltraPrivate Healthcare.
With UltraPrivate Healthcare, she is able to continue striving to constantly improve the patient care experience by implementing best clinical practices, incorporate complementary and functional medicine, collaborate with other providers, while being an advocate for patients. She is highly interested in caring for chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension, chronic allergies/sinus issues, women’s health, working with children of all ages, and much more. When not working, she loves to travel, read, cook, and tries to stay active around Austin with her incredible husband and kids.
