Amanda weaves together nearly twenty years of experience as a pediatric speech-language pathologist with the yogic and shamanic traditions. She is passionate about empowering and educating others so they can navigate the world confidently. Her holistic approach addresses building connection and communication on the physical, mental, and spiritual or energetic levels.
In her practice, PachaYoga & Healing, Amanda facilitates deep, soul level healing by releasing emotional or physical trauma, grief, fear, negative patterns/habits, and blocks. She offers individually designed practices and sessions for continued support to anchor in the energetic shifts, inviting one to be an active participant throughout the healing journey and to co-create with source in everyday life.
As the owner of Leaps with Language, she provides alternative education, therapy, and consultations for children with speech-language disorders and learning differences, specializing in treating children diagnosed with brain injury and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She incorporates knowledge and practices from a variety of disciplines, as well as the healing arts.
Amanda is excited to impart the powerful medicine and tools which have been extremely effective in transforming her own life. She shares her medicine through individual sessions, consultations, customized ceremonies, workshops, speaking, and writing. Her six-year-old son and the families she sees daily are her continual teachers. She holds the vision for a holistic medical model that is inclusive of connection and spiritual healing for well-being.

I believe that each client is unique and should be treated in a way that best serves their needs and communication goals.
My therapy is very dynamic and focused on helping each client to integrate our session work into their daily lives. This helps to make their communication the most effective that it can be and ultimately helps each client achieve their communication goals. My work with pediatric clients is play-based and I include parents in the session as often as possible. After each session, I provide follow up so that the therapy activities can be targeted beyond our session time, allowing for even more opportunities for growth.

My life’s work is to provide hope, innovation, unparalleled support, and resources to the aphasia community. I started LIFE Speech Pathology after the sudden passing of my mentor, Bill Connors. He was a pioneer in the field of aphasia treatment and telepractice. No other practice provided innovative treatment and support for chronic aphasia when he passed. With the backing of my family, I started LIFE Speech Pathology, a private practice in Austin, Texas. We see clients nationwide via telepractice.
Living well despite aphasia needs so much more than direct treatment. My mission is to provide a one-stop-shop that can serve the communication needs of both the person with aphasia and their families.
A few months after starting the private practice, I formed another business, LIFE Aphasia Academy®. It is through LAA where I create courses, host the Listen for LIFE Aphasia Podcast, and, coming by the end of 2023, the LIFE Aphasia Academy Community. I am so excited to be able to provide a continuum of care to meet the needs of the aphasia population wherever you are on your journey.
