LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I use depth-oriented and experiential modalities to get to the root cause of issues and facilitate change, including Existential Therapy, Relational Therapy, Mindfulness and Parts Work. I view people as a whole, recognizing the connection of mind, body, emotions and soul. The goals are to increase insight and integration of parts of yourself you may avoid or be unaware of, so that you can transform your challenges into wisdom and live a more authentic life. We’ll look at life history and habits, including how your patterns show up in your relationship with me.

All are welcome – regardless of background, beliefs, identity, appearance, etc. I am a trauma-informed practitioner. I do not assign diagnoses or label people.
Outside of work, I love nature, music, movement practices and photography.

My personal wellness journey began over 10 years ago with a dramatic weight loss that required serious lifestyle changes, which enables me to live a healthier life. My focus is assisting patients in making lifestyle changes and shifts in perception in order to serve their mental health goals.

Life’s disruptions can leave us feeling emotionally and physically stuck, pulling us out of alignment with who we truly are. When we’re operating from a place of survival, it’s difficult to experience the joy, connection, and sense of possibility that make life meaningful. My therapeutic philosophy is simple: humans were made to do more than simply survive – we were made to thrive. Healing isn’t about becoming someone new, it’s about reconnecting with the parts of oneself that have always been there beneath the weight of stress, trauma, and life’s challenges.
I blend Ivy League training with real-world clinical experience and genuine compassion to create a space where my clients feel deeply seen, understood, and supported. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fordham University and my Master of Social Work from Columbia University. I also hold a Level II certification in Usui Reiki and have received training in Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My work is grounded in an integrative approach that honors the connection between the mind, body, and spirit.
I have a special passion for working with high-achieving adults whose perfectionism was shaped by having to grow up too soon. In practice, this looks like supporting clients who had a parent struggling with chemical dependency or severe mental illness, experienced a high-conflict divorce, or found themselves taking on adult responsibilities as a child. These clients often may identify as the “responsible one,” the “mom” or “dad” friend, or the person everyone assumes has it all together. On the outside, their lives may look successful, but internally these clients feel exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to slow down. Together, my clients and I explore the patterns that once helped them survive and create space for a life that’s driven by authenticity rather than obligation.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll usually find me spending time with my fiancé and our Bernese Mountain Dog, Topanga, practicing yoga, reading, or knitting. I am now accepting new clients in person in Austin and virtually throughout Texas and offer complimentary 15 minute phone consultations. Hi there! I am Mallory Beckwith, LPC-A supervised by Sarah Arnold, LPC-S. Welcome to my profile! I am a therapist who works with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar disorder, and life transitions. I recently opened up my own private practice, Therapy with Mallory, and see all of my clients virtually.
I wholeheartedly believe that increasing your awareness is key to managing emotions, thinking more clearly, and acting from a place of intention rather than impulse. I always address my client’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs in sessions. I primarily use mindfulness during sessions to help my clients get grounded and present, and also CBT to address unhelpful thinking patterns that can cause stress, anxiety, depression, and feelings of being overwhelmed. I strongly believe everyone deserves a chance to heal so they can live a life with more clarity, joy, and purpose.
Feel free to reach out if you would like to schedule a 15 minute phone consultation or if you would like to connect.
I wish you the best on your journey.
