Integrative Psychotherapist & Relationship Counselor @ Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy
Are you ready to navigate the challenges of being human with greater resilience? As an integrative psychotherapist and relationship counselor, I specialize in supporting adults, couples, and groups to heal relationships on all levels. Including their relationships with stress, chronic illness/pain, family of origin issues, and trauma.
Combining research-informed practices with revolutionary brain + relationship science, I work from an integrative “head + heart” approach that incorporates mind, body, and spirit to help you increase resilience, release emotional baggage, and ignite holistic healing. Hence, the name of my practice – Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy. I believe that only by working from a holistic perspective can we truly experience deep healing and lasting change.
My practice of psychotherapy and counseling integrates relationship science (Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy), neuroscience (Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Somatic therapy, EMDR therapy, depth psychology and parts work, and trauma-informed interventions.
I am now accepting new clients for secure online therapy for Texas residents and offer free 15 min phone consults. You can learn more about me and my practice at www.headandheart-therapy.com

Acupuncturist @ Five Element Acupuncture
Beverly is from Dallas and as a teenager was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis after losing hair, gaining weight, and experiencing extreme fatigue. Beverly is from Dallas and as a teenager was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis after losing hair, gaining weight, and experiencing extreme fatigue. While attending St. Edward’s University she was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Specialists told her it was a condition she would need to manage for life. Her college years were defined by gastroenterologists, nutritionists, allergists, new drugs, supplements, multiple hospital visits, and extreme diets. Unfortunately, it was a continual search of help with no alleviation of symptoms.
Post graduation, a doctor referred Beverly to an acupuncturist, which offered some relief. However, she was still limited due to her symptoms. It was not until she discovered Five Element Acupuncture that she really felt like herself again. After seven long years of searching, she saw real progress. She could eat foods that were once off limits and live a care free life. A hostage no more to her symptoms, she knew she had to continue her education to learn Five Element Acupuncture.
How is Five Element Acupuncture different?
Classical Five Element Acupuncture is set apart from other systems of acupuncture by its core premise of diagnosing and treating a patient’s fundamental imbalance, rather than symptoms.
Five Element Acupuncture believes that one’s emotional state and stress level is especially important to understand and treat in order to ensure health. While it treats all conditions with exceptional success, it uniquely treats anxiety, depression, stress, and insomnia.
Five Element has changed my life and I sincerely hope to help as many people as I can; please feel free to reach out with questions. I am ecstatic to be part of a group like this.
Brooke Taylor, LAc, MAcOM
Cosmetic Acupuncture & Facial Rejuvenation for Men & Women
Women’s Health, Menopause & Peri-menopause
Chinese Medicine Solutions for Healthcare
With deep experience in the skin care industry, Brooke specializes in a holistic approach to facial rejuvenation through ancient Chinese Medicine and acupuncture along with modern techniques.
Brooke began a career in skin care many years ago after she found her own skin in accelerated aging after spending years in the sun as a flyfishing instructor and guide. She became an esthetician, and eventually moved to Seattle, then Australia where she worked as a global educator and brand manager for a range of organic skincare in the spa industry. She has also worked to assist other brands with formulation of products, and now teaches her patients how to make good choices for their skin in nutrition and products or ingredients, as well as helping them utilize facial devices like guasha at home.
She chose to study Chinese medicine to further her skills, knowing she needed the benefit of treating the skin from the inside out – treating the body as a whole allows healing to take place in systems that have a direct impact on the skin, not just topically.
Her system works for improving your health, skin and wellbeing – you will find you sleep better, have improved digestion, less stress, less pain, less inflammation. Many issues of the skin resolve or improve when any one of the above improve, but her treatments also target specific complaints related to the skin or appearance. She also implements the teachings of CT Holman and Applied Facial Diagnosis after taking his course.
Brooke’s treatment is a natural alternative to more invasive procedures to get the results you want – a healthier, more vibrant complexion and youthful appearance. Incorporating techniques like acupuncture for the face and body, guasha, facial cupping, organic skincare, LED light therapy, and herbal medicine, each treatment is customized to the individual needs.
The difference with these treatments is you will feel better, not just have less wrinkles – you literally look and rested, bright and lifted.
Brooke pulls all of her knowledge together to help women and men look and feel their best. She looks forward to starting a healing journey with you!
