Integrative Psychotherapist & Relationship Counselor @ Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy
Are you ready to navigate the challenges of being human with greater resilience? As an integrative psychotherapist and relationship counselor, I specialize in supporting adults, couples, and groups to heal relationships on all levels. Including their relationships with stress, chronic illness/pain, family of origin issues, and trauma.
Combining research-informed practices with revolutionary brain + relationship science, I work from an integrative “head + heart” approach that incorporates mind, body, and spirit to help you increase resilience, release emotional baggage, and ignite holistic healing. Hence, the name of my practice – Head + Heart Integrative Psychotherapy. I believe that only by working from a holistic perspective can we truly experience deep healing and lasting change.
My practice of psychotherapy and counseling integrates relationship science (Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy), neuroscience (Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Somatic therapy, EMDR therapy, depth psychology and parts work, and trauma-informed interventions.
I am now accepting new clients for secure online therapy for Texas residents and offer free 15 min phone consults. You can learn more about me and my practice at www.headandheart-therapy.com

My personal development journey began more than 25 years ago, and I’ve spent the last 15 of those in the life growth business, helping the people I serve create the lives and relationships they want. As a licensed psychotherapist, board certified life coach and innovative philanthropy leader, I spend my days having energizing conversations that generate fresh insights, new mindsets, radical shifts, and big connections. I work with a diverse client base including couples, creative entrepreneurs, executives, and artists, all of whom are inspired to build healthy, engaged lives fueled by their dreams and filled with joy, purpose, loving relationships, and rewarding careers.
I have a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and had thriving private practices in Los Angeles and Chicago prior to returning to my native Texas. I have specialized training in Relationship Counseling, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Presence-Based Coaching, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Contemplative Dance so I love integrating elements of all of those when I work with clients. Although I work with a variety of clients, I specialize in holistic coaching and counseling with gay and bisexual men, creatives struggling with perfectionism and women looking to show up more fully as leaders in their own lives.
On a personal note, I’m a native Texan (yes, Buck is my real name!), and I moved back to Austin in 2013. I love exploring all things wellness, creating as an Enneagram 4 and innovating as a Human Design Manifestor. I also love to chill on Lake Travis or on a beautiful beach every chance I get. I also love a good nap and hanging out with Goldie Hawn (my Golden Retriever).
I’m thrilled to be part of a vibrant community of like-minded health and wellness professionals and look forward to supporting each other’s work!

& Founder @ Flourish! Mindful Psychotherapy & Nutrition

I see these clients as one whole person which means I do not buy into labels / diagnoses or that the brain is solely responsible for their suffering.
Psychotherapist, Supervisor, Integrative Practitioner
& Founder @ Flourish! Mindful Psychotherapy & Nutrition
For me, the best part of being a therapist is watching clients develop a sense of ease and blossom into their most authentic and beautiful selves. I do my best to create a judgment-free space so everyone feels comfortable, heard and safe to explore memories, experiences, thoughts, stressors, and/or behaviors.

I hold a BSW and MSSW from the University of Texas at Austin and certifications as a Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider and Kundalini Yoga Teacher. I find mindfulness, interpersonal neurobiology (IPBNB), PolyVagal and Attachment theories, somatic experiencing, functional nutrition and integrative medicine endlessly fascinating and am happy to share any or all of these models and tools with you to help you feel healed and nourished. The common thread connecting all I do is the vagus nerve and I do my best to stay on the cutting edge of science and treatment for this all important multi-branched nerve that serves as the information superhighway of the Gut-Brain Axis.
I am a board approved LCSW Supervisor in Texas and also an LCSW in Colorado.
When I am not working or learning I love to cook, take long walks with my pups, hang at the beach, indulge in comedy that makes me laugh so much my cheeks hurt and practice meditation and Kundalini yoga nearly everyday.
Flourish! is open for video and phone services during COVID-19 pandemic for established and new clients.

I’m a passionate and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Holistic Somatic Psychotherapist with a Masters degree in Social Work-Direct Practice. I have over 19 years of experience in the mental health field counseling women and children of all ages in various settings, including schools.
I’ve always loved counseling girls, but after over a decade of witnessing their moms passing down their own issues to the next generation—and personally experiencing this with my own daughter—I moved into another passion of mine—helping moms with daughters heal their own traumas so they won’t continue to pass them down for generations to come.
However, after watching our girls continue to harm their bodies and themselves as they attempt to meet society’s unrealistic standards…after watching anxiety, suicidal ideation, and self-harm behaviors skyrocket among our teens…and after watching girls’ self-esteem plummet by age 13—while knowing I have the skills AND passion to help them, I was guided to begin counseling middle and high school girls, again. As a result, I created a safe space for girls to come together, to be seen and heard, to share and heal, to learn and grow, to connect vulnerably with other girls, and to consciously create the lives they want to live, as they move into womanhood. I created Warrior Girls Rising®.
Warrior Girls Rising® is a MOVEMENT with the mission to empower middle and high school girls to empower themselves, by helping them heal emotional wounds, while teaching them the skills needed to become confident and powerful women who thrive.
Currently, I offer private psychotherapy to moms and girls and I facilitate two programs for middle and high school girls—EMPOWER HER and Your Sacred Body—in Dripping Springs, Wimberley, and online.
I also help you Be the Woman You Want Your Daughter to Become® through helping you heal generational patterns and trauma you don’t want to pass down to your daughter. Although I’m skilled in helping clients heal a wide range of issues, I currently focus on helping girls and moms heal anxiety and trauma, while cultivating self-compassion, building self-confidence, and learning important lifelong personal development practices that help them create the lives they want.
I draw from my own personal experience in healing trauma and an eating disorder, as well as my professional training in mindfulness, Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy, movement, energy & spiritual psychology, parts work, attachment theory, Reiki, and more. My work is individualized, but I may incorporate journaling, guided meditation, nature connection, self-care practices, movement, and other somatic practices into our work together.
